Michele Hudson, Allawadrick Area Chair (former)

Sis. Michele Hudson attends Dickerson A.M.E. Church in Frostburg, MD along with her husband, The Reverend Meredith C. Hudson, who has been the Pastor since October 2007.  She has been a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church in Frederick, MD since 1988.  Sis. Michele also serves as the Local President of the Fannie Daugherty WMS, Church Administrator and Church School Teacher.  Sis. Michele serves with a willing heart to those in need. While families were in search of food during the height of the pandemic, she made the necessary contacts and distributed with the help of the Local Presidents a total of 1,276 hot meals during the coronavirus outbreak. During Memorial Day weekend, a group of the Allawadrick Area WMS Missionaries placed 230 flags on veteran graves at the Fairview Cemetery in Frederick, MD to honor their service and sacrifice to this country. Sis. Hudson supports the need to end world hunger by mailing letters to Maryland Senators in support of “Bread for the World.” Under Sis. Michele’s leadership, the AA WMS donated 625 pairs of white men’s and women’s socks to the inmates and detainees at the Frederick County Detention Center.

Sis. Hudson also finds time to share God’s word and assist her Pastor with the “Bridge to Eternity” A.M.E. Worship Services at The Western Correctional Institution (maximum security state prison for men) located in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland.  Sis. Michele began ministering in the jail and prison ministry March 1998.  She has shared the word of God with men and women at Frederick County Adult Detention Center, Montgomery County Correctional Facility, and Maryland Correctional Institution - Women in Jessup, Maryland. Sister Hudson’s favorite scripture is, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2.
