Deborah Williams, Treasurer

She organized a “Share the Warmth” coat drive in partnership with the missionaries of Ebenezer AME, Fort Washington and donated more than 500 winter coats for families on the waiting list. She organized and planned “Share the Love Diaper Drive” in partnership with the missionaries of Reid Temple AME and donated two van loads of wipes and size 5 and 6 diapers to fill empty shelves at the Baby Pantry.

Sis. Deborah a retired Vice President for Sandy Spring Bank and currently works parttime for Bankers Life as a Senior Retirement Specialist. She is married to Kenneth Williams, proud mother of Skye, Storm and Kenny, and proud grandmother to Connor, Jackuri, Jairus and Collin.

Sis. Deborah Williams has been a member of Love AME Church in Largo, MD since 2016. Prior to this she was a member at Community of Hope AME and Ebenezer AME Fort Washington. She currently serves as the president of the Rachel Galarza Missionary Society. In addition, she is a member of several ministries in the church which include Steward Board Pro-Tem, Co-Chair of the Women’s Ministry SIS, teacher for the Women’s Discipleship and Executive Team strategic planning group. She currently serves as the Corresponding Secretary for the Catherine C. Hemingway Area. She was elected on May 4, 2023, at the Washington Conference Branch Women’s Missionary Society (WCB WMS) Annual Day to serve as the Conference Branch Treasurer. 

She works tirelessly as the local President adopting the Jessup Baby Panty. With the assistance of the WCB WMS, she was instrumental in providing more than 500 cans of infant formula at a time when formula was scarce in the USA. She collected and distributed clothing for Afghan Refugees living near BWI Airport.
