Sis. Sylvia McRae, a WMS Life Member and a member of Ebenezer AMEC, Fort Washington. She is an active member of the Alice Marie Chapman Women’s Missionary Society, where she currently serves as the PME Director.

 

As a missionary, she has served in two districts of our church. Her home district is the 11th District which includes, (Florida and the Bahamas), where she served the WMS faithfully as the Episcopal 2nd Vice President for an 8-year term, as well as several Conference positions. While in the 6th District WMS (Georgia), she served as 2nd Vice President for the Atlanta North Georgia Conference for two years and the Historiographer-Statistician for more than four years.

 

Spiritually, she is a humble servant that believes in sharing the love of God through missions. She is a strong believer in serving as Jesus Christ’s hands and feet through service and witness in all the world. She is committed to serving our Women’s Missionary Society with integrity, honesty, and dedication. She lives by the quote, “If I can help someone along the way, then my living shall not be in vain.”

 

Sis. Sylvia is a widow, mother of two and grandmother of two. Professionally, she is a retired Business Education/Technology Teacher of 34 years. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 34:8, “O Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.”
