On January 30, 2024, the Second Episcopal District (SED) Women's Missionary Society (WMS) Moms Demand Action (MDA) for Gun Sense in America joined in the “MD~MDA ADVOCACY DAY" rally dedicated to creating a future free from gun violence.
Our rally began outside at the Lawyers Mall in Annapolis. Maryland Governor Wes Moore shared words of hope and encouragement in support of ending gun violence and for Maryland state lawmakers to pass stronger gun laws. "Gun Violence Prevention" is a top priority in our state!
More than 200 volunteers, survivors of gun violence, and students took part in meetings to strategize, to learn, and to talk to our Maryland state lawmakers to urge them to pass gun safety laws. “MD~MDA ADVOCACY DAY" was successful to ensure we raise awareness of gun violence to promote dialogue and act.
Election season is in full swing now and MDA volunteers across the country are already working to elect Gun Sense Candidates who will implement better gun laws to result in stronger gun laws and less gun deaths. WE CHALLENGE YOU TO TAKE ACTION~ YOUR VOTE MATTERS!!!
