Shelia Clayton, Historiographer

Sis. Shelia Clayton has been a member of Campbell African Episcopal Church since 1993.  She is the President of the Lucille E. Dale Women’s Missionary Society and served as 1st Vice President under Sis. Jeanette S. Hite and Sis. Helen Thompson.  Sis. Shelia currently serves as Historiographer/Statistician for the Washington Conference.

 

She is also a member of Stewardess Board No. 1, Raby-Jennings Lay Organization and Class Coordinator.  In the past she has been a member of the Trustee Board, Mother’s Club, Secretary for Official Board and Women’s Day Co-Chair.

One of Sis. Shelia’s many talents include her administrative and organizational skills.  She regularly uses her gifts to be a blessing to Campbell.  She has created several programs and is currently the creator and editor of “Missionary on the Move” newsletter, which highlights the mission work of the Lucille E. Dale Women’s Missionary Society.  She is also active in her community serving as secretary of the Fort Washington Tantallon Square Civic Association.  A position she has held for many years.

 

Sis. Shelia possesses a servant’s heart.  She participates in activities that afford her the opportunity to selflessly serve others.  Shelia has a special love for the elderly and believes that we are blessed when we bless others.  Her favorite scripture, Phil 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
