Jeanette Hite 

Sister Jeanette is an active member of Campbell African Methodist Episcopal Church in SE Washington, DC.

She has served on the Board of Trustees, President of Lay Organization and the Lucille E. Dale Women’s Missionary Society. On April 21, 2015, she was elected President of the Washington Conference Branch (WCB) Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) of the African Methodist Episcopal Church having oversight of over 80 churches in the Washington metropolitan area.

Sister Hite's experience in work and community includes: training, outreach, writing, and advocacy. She has developed workshops, facilitated forums and provided input on a variety of topics and issues that impact the church, community and family. She is a mentor and advocate for women, children and the elderly. While employed at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), she served as an Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor (EEOC) for over ten years. During her tenure at the Department of Justice as a Paralegal Specialist, she was elected to serve as the first African American to lead the Chapter of Federally Employed Women (FEW). Through her leadership, membership increased and training programs were developed. FEW is an international organization for Federal Employees. FEW works as an advocacy group to improve the status of women employed by the Federal government. She also served on the International Board of Directors for FEW as the Vice President of Diversity and the Vice President of Training and Communications.

She has served the Washington, DC community for over 40 years in leadership roles and in community service. In her community, she served as the President of the Homeowners Association in Suitland, MD for four years, where she worked with community leaders and residents to improve the safety and beautification of the neighborhood.
